About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace Materials Engineering (MatEng) is seeking an Advanced Materials and Process Engineer to support new and existing products including aerospace gas turbine engines used for propulsion and auxiliary power. This is a challenging, multi-dimensional role that requires the individual to perform at a high level while working multiple concurrent task assignments. The role combines a hands-on role in the laboratory with a design and applications engineering role to support the manufacturing and design of Honeywell Aerospace components. In the laboratory role, the candidate will operate a wide variety of analytical equipment used to support metallurgical evaluations of Honeywell Aerospace components. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and support day-to-day operation of the Metals lab, including scheduling daily activities, developing & performing test processes and working with lab technicians to provide guidance and oversight to the technical staff. In addition, they will provide interpretation of data/results to internal customers.

Requirements

  • Experience in materials and process engineering.
  • Experience supporting new and existing products, including aerospace gas turbine engines.
  • Ability to perform at a high level while working multiple concurrent task assignments.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Design and applications engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting the manufacturing and design of aerospace components.
  • Experience operating a wide variety of analytical equipment.
  • Experience supporting metallurgical evaluations.
  • Self-motivated.
