About The Position

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Fan and Compressor Mechanical), here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be part of a team responsible for the mechanical design, simulation, analysis and test of fans and compressors (FanC) in gas turbine engine (turbomachinery) applications within Honeywell Aerospace Engines and Power Systems. You will collaborate closely with our FanC team at the Phoenix Engines site. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of the Puerto Rico (Aguadilla) location. External hires will work onsite for the initial 90 days before transitioning to a hybrid work schedule. The Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Fan and Compressor Mechanical), will support currently fielded products and contribute towards development of new products for a variety of turbofan, turboshaft and auxiliary power unit (APU) applications. You will apply principles of design, physics, mathematics and software development to perform a broad variety of engineering tasks. Also, you will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement of design, analysis and simulation methods.
