About The Position

The Advanced Markets Intern works part-time with an AVP of Advanced Sales or a Markets Consultant supporting life and annuity distribution channels. The internship provides hands-on assignments in Advanced Markets, including sales, marketing, research, and writing. The intern also receives training in estate planning, business planning, charitable planning, asset protection, and income tax planning for high-net-worth and affluent clients.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or law school.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized, with the demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Desire for continuous learning and improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with others.

Nice To Haves

• Law school Class Level: 2L preferred; 1L considered.
• Enrollment in law school or an intention to pursue a law degree after college is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with an Advanced Markets and Sales Consultants AVP in the assigned region.
• Assist with client Will and Trust document review requests, as well as business-owner entity formation and valuation requests.
• Conduct research projects and provide written reports as needed.
• Draft responses to inquiries related to annuity and life insurance marketing materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
