About The Position

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Principal – Welding here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in advanced manufacturing processes. You will play a crucial role in driving innovation and continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations by developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. Requirements

  • Extensive experience (6+ years) in welding of aerospace components.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, welding process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of welding technologies such as TIG Welding, Electron beam welding, welding automation, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS2750.
  • Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
  • Proficient in Data analytics tools such as Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), IE (Industrial Engineer) or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience programming robotic welders.
  • Experience, using NX or other software.
  • Experience welding aluminum, titanium and Inconel aerospace parts.
  • Experience, creating work holding fixtures and optimizing setups for welding aerospace components.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced manufacturing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
