About The Position

The Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) plays a key role in bringing manufacturing processes to life — from process design and tooling to equipment implementation, new product introduction, and production support. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost by solving shop-floor challenges, advancing manufacturing capability, and supporting production readiness for new and existing products. The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing expertise, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to guide others in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will help improve manufacturing capability, support production readiness, solve critical shop-floor challenges, and enable safe, high-quality delivery for the business. This is primarily a individual contributor role with opportunities to provide coaching, mentorship and project management through influence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 9 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience)
  • Strong technical background CNC Machining and programming
  • Diverse knowledge of manufacturing process and how they relate to one another
  • Ability to mentor guide individuals and related technical disciplines
  • Familiar with automated control type systems and logic associated with them.
  • Experience in aerospace, turbine, precision machining, or other regulated manufacturing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, document, and execute technical programs or projects.
  • Ability to mentor others and work effectively across functions.
  • Demonstrates humility, transparency, focus, and collaborative leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • Support production teams with problem solving and evolving manufacturing practices to better support customer delivery through safe and quality processes/technology.
  • Source and oversee new equipment & new product introduction to production readiness.
  • Support emerging technology platforms through Research & Development and Testing
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
