If you’re the kind of engineer who would rather be on the production floor solving real build problems than sitting behind a desk, this role is built for you. We’re looking for someone who can take complex, one-of-a-kind equipment builds and turn them into efficient, repeatable, and well-executed processes. Your primary challenge will be stabilizing and improving assigned work centers, reducing production disruptions, resolving build issues quickly, and creating clarity where ambiguity exists. You’ll also play a key role in improving manufacturability and process flow, helping ensure custom equipment builds meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations. You’ll be part of a cross-functional manufacturing team supporting large, custom capital equipment builds in a high-mix, low-volume environment. This role partners closely with design engineering, supply chain, quality, planning, supervisors, and technicians to ensure builds are executed effectively from concept through final integration. This person will spend the majority of their time supporting production; troubleshooting issues, improving workflows, and developing clear, usable process documentation that enables consistent execution. The strongest performers are highly visible on the floor, take ownership of problems, and implement practical solutions that improve safety, quality, and output. A major challenge in this role is navigating ambiguity in a custom, project based environment where every build can be different. Success means bringing structure to that complexity—ensuring work centers are prepared, processes are repeatable, and cross-functional teams are aligned to execute efficiently with minimal rework or disruption.
