Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will play a key role in driving global manufacturing process development to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. This person is responsible for ensuring manufacturing readiness of compressor products for new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing technology development. This role partners with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, and Operations to support early HVAC compressor development, pilot builds, and pre-production validation activities from early concept through production release. AS AN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, YOU WILL: Evaluate new product concepts and designs to determine manufacturing feasibility in early development phases. Collaborate in cross-functional teams providing manufacturing and product insights to new product development processes Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks associated with new technologies, products, and processes Support the maturation of manufacturing concepts into detailed process designs including hands on lab, pilot, and production builds Perform PFMEAs, capability studies, Gage R&R, and other statistical analyses to verify and qualify assets production processes and equipment Apply practical automation, LEAN principles, and manufacturing fixturing concepts for high-volume manufacturing assembly lines. Coordinate and manage projects to design, procure, qualify, and implement equipment and manufacturing processes, while maintaining project schedules and budgets. Work with outside integrators and machine builders to confirm new equipment meets design requirements and performs as expected.
