This role involves performing light vehicle maintenance work, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid level checks, and lubrication. You will also conduct electronic multi-point inspections with video documentation for every vehicle. Additionally, you will assist other mechanics with diagnostics and repairs, communicate with the parts department, and handle parts for warranty or customer requests. The position requires assisting with vehicle examinations for safety or service needs, documenting work performed, and attending factory-sponsored training to progress to a main line automotive technician. You will stay updated on factory technical bulletins, ensure customer vehicles are kept clean, and maintain a neat and clean shop area, accounting for all dealership tools. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal, is essential. Road-testing vehicles to quality-check work and mastering the Dealer Management System (Reynolds) for various tasks are also key responsibilities. A high standard of cleanliness and accountability for tools and customer vehicles is expected.
