About The Position

Installs, maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, and calibrates automated, robotic, and electro-mechanical machinery. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and ensuring the quality and safety of operations. The technician will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, diagnose and repair a wide range of issues including electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, mechanical, and software problems in robotic systems and assembly machines. They will also be involved in installing, calibrating, and commissioning new machinery, documenting all maintenance activities, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment according to 5S standards. Adherence to quality objectives and work instructions is essential.

Requirements

One-year certificate from college or technical school plus minimum 3 years’ experience with maintaining/ repairing automated systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to read blue prints, electrical prints, control logic and mechanical schematics.

Nice To Haves

HiLo and Arial licenses required.

Responsibilities

Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on automated equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, mechanical, and software issues, including vision software, in robotic systems and assembly machines.
Install, calibrate and commission new machinery and control systems.
Documenting maintenance, testing, and repairs, and maintaining detailed records of equipment performance.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and replace defective equipment.
Examine equipment to detect imperfections.
Adjust functional control of devices and instruments.
Test equipment after repair or maintenance activities are completed.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment.
Generates follow up actions, based on PM results. Suggest changes to PM documents to reflect actual findings.
Understanding and working knowledge of all job-related Quality Objectives, Quality System Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.
Responsible for following work instructions for Kanban pull systems.
Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition, following 5S standards.
Follow established instructions and quality standards.
Responsible for the safety of self, teammates and product from damage and/or injury.
Ensure inspections are done in a timely manner, are thorough and complete.
Keep all safe guards in good working condition to provide a safe working environment.
