We're currently seeking a passionate Advanced Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide.

Requirements

  • Complete manufacturing classroom courses leading to graduation
  • NIMS safety or equivalent
  • Basic math – speed and feeds
  • Machine operation
  • Blueprint reading
  • Basic metalworking tasks such as machining
  • Use of gages, calipers, gauge pins and micrometers
  • Participate in team challenges: robot rumble, hi-mileage vehicle, sports, TMA machining contest
  • Experience safely working with power tools
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, computer skills
  • Demonstrate good communication & multitasking skills
  • Like to work with your hands and able to pay attention to details
  • Interested in continuous learning
  • Able to regularly lift containers up to 40 pounds
  • Pass preemployment physical & aptitude test

Responsibilities

  • Build, install, and test mechanical and electrical systems used in automated industrial processes
  • Ensure automated systems are working using technical diagnostic and measuring devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance equipment
  • Maintain and repair equipment and facility
  • Work toward DOL Journeyman status
  • Learn about electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes & apply to daily work tasks
  • Learn about motors, robots and automation control systems
  • Learn PLC programming
  • Learn how to maintain metal working machines and assembly cells
  • Work with experienced Advanced Maintenance Journeyman
  • Attend Harper Community College classes for 3 years 2 days/week
  • Complete Harper Community College competency requirements (estimate 4-5 years)
  • Maintain a clean work area
