About The Position

RECONN is looking for problem solvers who take pride in public safety and are comfortable in a fast-paced, exciting work environment to join their team as an Advanced Locate Technician. This position is based out of Albuquerque, NM. The starting pay for this position ranges from $28.00/hr. to $35.00/hr., depending on experience. This is a full-time position, and overtime will be required.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year locate experience
Must be able to travel
Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
Proficiency with technology
Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required

Nice To Haves

Preferably with Gas and Communication locate experience.
Advanced locating experience with all utilities.
Demonstrated commitment to quality, and attention to detail.
Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.
Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Correct, safe, and efficient locating of underground utilities.
Thoroughly research and investigate all underground utilities in an area.
Properly mark the location of underground utilities.
Complete necessary paperwork and document each location.
Documentation can consist of electronic field sketching, GPS and Data Collection.
