About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking an Advanced Information Assurance Engineer to join their team. This role involves hands-on experience with systems engineering, developing and executing test procedures, collaborating within integrated teams on security engineering tasks, and supporting cybersecurity documentation and risk assessments. The engineer will contribute to system security analysis, including threat assessments and resilience planning, supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. The position offers a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to share ideas and solutions effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with leaders, customers, and team members.
  • Knowledge of tools like DOORS, Cameo, and experience with Agile workflows.
  • A SECRET security clearance, plus an active SEC+ or CISSP, showcasing your expertise in cybersecurity.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to address impacts and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience with systems engineering, including creating designs, use cases, and requirements.
  • Developing and executing test procedures to ensure systems meet expectations.
  • Collaborating within integrated teams and working on security engineering tasks throughout the project life cycle.
  • Supporting cybersecurity documentation, risk assessments, and system security testing supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Contributing to system security analysis, including threat assessments, resilience planning, and validation.
