This role involves examining manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption, streamlining production times, and minimizing resource usage, all while ensuring compliance with safety policies. Proficiency in Lean manufacturing methods is a key skill for this position. Requirements

  • BS in industrial engineering or related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering required
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Travel: 10-25%
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods

Responsibilities

  • Monitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.
  • Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
  • Ensures that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards.
  • Reduces waste and addresses production issues.
  • Reviews production schedules, processes and specifications.
  • Evaluates data to implement technological improvements in production processes.
  • Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
  • Works with other departments to develop design and production standards.
  • Prepares inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs.
  • Designs facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations.
  • Helps to develop instruction manuals, process documentation for production personnel.
  • Ensures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns.
  • Generates process reports.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
