About The Position

The Radiology Advanced Imaging Specialist is a specialized role within the Radiology Department, focused on the acquisition, processing, and presentation of three-dimensional (3D) medical images. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and medical interventions by providing intricate and detailed 3D reconstructions of anatomical structures. The Radiology Advanced Imaging Specialist collaborates with radiologists, clinical teams, and technology experts to ensure the successful integration of 3D imaging into patient care. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in radiologic technology or related field and a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably with experience in advanced imaging techniques OR in lieu of accredited Radiology Program must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as medical imaging, biomedical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical imaging analysis, preferably in a healthcare or research setting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for handling and analyzing medical imaging data in compliance with privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Good clinical practice).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in advanced imaging techniques outside of primary discipline preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, such as a hospital, diagnostic imaging center, or medical clinic.
  • Registry of Radiologic Technologists listed as: R.T.(R), R.T.(N), R.T.(T), R.T.(MR), R.T.(CT), R.T.(M), (S); Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS); Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT) are preferred and should continue to maintain.
