About The Position

The Mission Module Logistics Support Technician will provide logistic support to field organizations and/or customers including spare or replacement parts and supplies. You’ll repair returned products and advise customers on types and amounts of equipment available. We’ll expect you to provide support to the logistics function, preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. You’ll also modify maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. This position is responsible for providing a full-range of administrative support to multiple managers and/or directors within a business functional area(s). The Administrator will manage multiple tasks to relieve management of administrative details and allow them to concentrate on other business activities. The Administrator is expected to demonstrate poise, initiative, trustworthiness, timeliness, precision, and adherence to confidentiality at all times. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to generate documents, create spreadsheets and accomplish analysis of spreadsheet data.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of products.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to integrate in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Integrated Logistics software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Elements (supply support; maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; technical manuals; training and training equipment; support equipment; facilities; computer resources support; packaging, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T); design interface; reliability, maintainability and availability (RM&A), how they interact and how they are applied across a program, their effect on a system, plus how a systems' design and changes affect the ILS elements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Acquisition Logistics (a multi-functional technical management discipline associated with influencing design for supportability and planning the support infrastructure for a system by focusing on the integrated logistics support (ILS) elements and working with and across all IPTs).
  • Direct experience working with Navy Supply (NAVSUP) systems ordering, issuing and stocking parts and materials.
  • Use of the Navy’s RSupply system to generate reports.
  • Maintaining inventory data bases for material stocked in store rooms and warehouses.
  • Utilizing HAZMAT/HAZWASTE procedures and comply with ordering requirements.
  • Generate DD-1149, DD-1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250s using MICROSOFT Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs.
  • 3 years of experience as a Logistics Specialist/Storekeeper (LS/SK).

  • Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment dealing with confidential/sensitive information.
  • Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
  • Reassign computers to maintain accuracy of inventory records of department computers.
  • Log requisitions for items such as hardware and software to audit monthly budget reports for accuracy.
  • Validate Monthly Project Reviews to requisitions and invoices; identify duplications and incorrect entries.
  • Report employee moves into vacant work spaces to Facilities by inputting to Computer Assisted Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
  • Survey area for maintenance needs such as carpet spills, burned out light bulbs, chips out of walls, etc. and arrange for maintenance by submitting requests to facilities for work that will cost less than $5k at a facility.
  • Monitor charge number activities for accuracy.
  • Provide computers (leases), and other technology and devices by coordinating with Information Technology, Supply Chain Management in order to maximize productivity and manage costs.
  • Perform periodic audits of software assets within the business unit, as set forth in company policy, to ensure compliance with software licensing, acquisition, use, and maintenance of patches, upgrades, and configuration to security requirements in order to support various audits and accreditation activities.
  • Collaborate with others to improve processes and procedures.
  • Be open to new ideas and serve as a champion for change and act to support change when directed from management.
  • Perform administrative support and secretarial activities.
  • Perform a variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project/business/technical unit.
  • Compile, review and analyze data.
  • Use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, time-lines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations.
  • Design processes to enhance work flow.
  • Develop procedures to ensure consistent work performance.
  • Contact with internal and external co-workers, managers, directors, and executives, executive staff, employees, and administrative staff; external customers.
  • Engage in frequent contacts with individuals representing outside organizations, and/or individuals of significant importance within the company.
  • Handle communications that involve planning and preparation, requiring skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communications.
