About The Position

Coordinates the activities of the Heart Failure Clinic and Service. Responsible for fiscal management as well as materials management, billing, scheduling, customer service and clinical responsibilities, utilization and performance of non-invasive interventions and procedures to obtain diagnostic information to practice within the job responsibilities outlined in the Advanced Practice Nurse Collaborative agreement, and further defined by practice protocols developed and approved in collaboration with the Department Chair.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years nursing and critical care experience with strong Cardiology background preferred.
• If nurse practitioner, Master’s degree or greater.
• Graduate from an ANA accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NJ License as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Current CDS and DEA licenses required within 6 months of employment.
• Current CPR and ACLS certification required.
• Approval of credentials and clinical privileges per Center procedure.
• Computer proficiency.

Nice To Haves

• LVAD experience a plus.

• Maintain required continuing education credits.
• Complete required education for nurse practitioner recertification of 20 hours of category 1 contact hours/year.
• Ensure 50% of the overall credits per 5 years must be from an approved ANCC provider.
