About The Position

The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is a leading center for cardiovascular clinical care, research, and training. This position serves as an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist within the Heart Failure section, contributing to both outpatient clinics and inpatient rotations for heart failure and transplant services. The role involves establishing and expanding a comprehensive heart failure clinic and inpatient service at Legacy Health, with close integration with OHSU’s advanced therapies program, including LVAD and cardiac transplantation. As a faculty member at OHSU, a teaching institution, there is an expectation to mentor students, residents, fellows, and staff. Research opportunities in the area of focus may be available, with administrative support for grant submission, financial management, and clinical trials. Administrative duties may also be assigned to support Institute or section initiatives.

Requirements

  • Licensed MD/DO
  • Active DEA Certification
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Heart Failure

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience practicing in an academic health facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist in the Heart Failure section.
