About The Position
At Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Rincon Research Corporation seeks a Database/Web Engineer to create cutting edge software and cloud computing solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. You will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly skilled and motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers in a highly rewarding personal and professional environment. Requirements
- Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 8 years' experience in full-stack application development
- Experience building scalable web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
- Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
- Proficient in C++ and Python in LINUX environments
- JavaScript, CSS, HTML
- Demonstrated ability to design software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks including Vue, React, Angular
- Advanced SQL query optimization
- Database performance tuning
- Stored procedures, indexing, and schema design
- DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)
- Agile development processes
- Ability to mentor other engineers and provide technical advice to project leaders
- Current TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and implementation of data systems with both web and database components
- Analyzing and maintaining existing databases and web interfaces
- Adding new features to operational systems
- Implementing signal processing and other algorithms with efficient software
- Testing with real data
- Providing applications to front-line customer facilities
- Creating effective user interfaces and data visualization tools
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies
- Experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects
- Working across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M
- Experiencing direct mission feedback from the customer and seeing your project provide real-world contributions that make a significant difference
- Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks
- Working unsupervised with minimal direction
