About The Position

The Advanced Facilities Mechanical Engineer serves as the site’s technical leader for mechanical reliability, maintenance excellence, and asset performance. This role drives equipment uptime, reliability, predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and facility operations while supporting safety, cost reduction, and workforce development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in facilities, reliability, maintenance, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical systems, rotating equipment, reliability engineering, and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Proven success leading troubleshooting, asset reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • PE, CRE, CMRP, PMP, or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food & beverage, semiconductor, automotive, chemical, or advanced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical reliability programs to improve equipment performance, availability, and lifecycle management.
  • Serve as the primary technical expert for troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, HVAC, boilers, utilities, rotating equipment, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs using RCFA, FMEA, RCM, Weibull analysis, and asset criticality assessments.
  • Implement predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, and condition monitoring systems.
  • Evaluate and deploy Industry 4.0 technologies, Industrial IoT solutions, smart sensors, predictive analytics, and asset performance management tools.
  • Monitor and improve key reliability metrics including uptime, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance compliance, and maintenance costs.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and reliability improvement initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and extending asset life.
  • Develop maintenance personnel through technical training, mentoring, skills assessments, and best-practice reliability programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ASME, NFPA, and company engineering standards.
