About The Position

Wintrust is seeking a talented and motivated Advanced Enterprise Architect to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in shaping the future of Wintrust's technology landscape. The Advanced Enterprise Architect will work closely with business and technology teams to understand their needs, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture strategy. This position will collaborate with the head of architecture to develop and grow the EA function within Wintrust. Key responsibilities include obtaining TOGAF and ArchiMate fundamentals, learning Wintrust's Architecture tooling, and working with stakeholders to develop Architectural Advisories, Standards, and Principles. The role also involves developing and supporting the Architecture Review Board and its associated components in conjunction with the Head of EA.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related roles.
Good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework).
Basic proficiency and understanding of modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML).

Nice To Haves

Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF Certified Architect) preferred.
Experience with Orbus Infinity helpful.
Experience with ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture Workspace (APM) helpful.
Experience in the financial services industry helpful.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI DSS) helpful.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of enterprise architecture artifacts, including system architecture, data architecture, and application architecture.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
Present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Obtain TOGAF and ArchiMate fundamentals if not already obtained.
Learn Wintrust's Architecture tooling.
Work with Stakeholders to develop and write Architectural Advisories, Standards, and Principles.
Develop and Support the Architecture Review Board and its associated components in conjunction with the Head of EA.
