About The Position

The Advanced Engineering Technician supports engineering activities for prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Associate’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience using computers and software applications to support job execution.
Solid knowledge of computer systems, test equipment, and generally accepted technical theory.
Experience supporting multiple technical tasks and assignments in a manufacturing, test, development, or engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
Use manufacturing, test, development, and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for specialized tasks.
Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements.
