About The Position

AMR BARROW is immediately hiring an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) for a part-time opportunity. This role involves responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. The AEMT will utilize appropriate medical techniques and equipment to assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services. Responsibilities include documenting patient information, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and operating an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws. The role also requires professional collaboration with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as participation in community programs to enhance AMR's image and community relations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
State EMT License
State Driver’s License
BLS, NREMT
Driving record compliant with company policy
Pass Physical Agility Test
Some work experience, preferably healthcare

Responsibilities

Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Use appropriate AEMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AEMTs.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
