Deliver emergency and urgent medical care within an established remote healthcare setting supporting a residential and workforce population on Wake Island. This role combines independent clinical practice, emergency response, and clinic-based patient care within a structured healthcare environment where adaptability, sound judgment, and coordinated care delivery are essential to patient outcomes. Location: Wake Island Working alongside the site physician, the Advanced EMT or Paramedic supports day-to-day healthcare delivery, emergency stabilization, patient assessment, and continuity of care within an integrated remote clinical setting.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted U.S. Advanced EMT or Paramedic license with National Registry (NREMT) certification
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a nationally accredited U.S. provider
  • Minimum 1 year of Advanced EMT or Paramedic experience within a busy 911 response environment
  • Ability to work on-site within a remote island healthcare setting for extended rotations with a valid passport maintained throughout assignment
  • U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain required background eligibility for site access

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in urgent care, emergency department, or remote healthcare settings
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) training
  • Military medical experience as a Corpsman, Combat Medic, Aerospace Medical Service Specialist, or equivalent clinical role
  • BLS instructor certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency and urgent medical care including advanced life support interventions, medication administration, patient assessment, stabilization, and documentation in clinic and pre-hospital settings
  • Support clinical procedures, treatments, patient education, and coordinated care delivery alongside the supervising physician
  • Assist with higher-acuity patient transfers, shared emergency response coverage, emergency preparedness activities, and interdisciplinary clinical response efforts
  • Maintain clinical readiness through supply management, equipment monitoring, restocking, and adherence to healthcare standards
