About The Position
LifeFlight Critical Care Transport is seeking an Advanced EMT (AEMT) to join their team. This role involves independently activating patient care protocols within the scope of practice defined by the state of Tennessee and LifeFlight. The AEMT will ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, safely transport patients according to Vanderbilt and unit-specific policies, and maintain equipment. Effective communication is crucial for safe and quality patient care, including team collaboration and handover. This position is part of the Critical Care Transport team within Vanderbilt Health, a large academic health system dedicated to providing advanced care, education, and research. Requirements
- LIC-Driver's License - Tennessee
- LIC-Emergency Medical Technician Advanced - Licensure-Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Less than 1 year of experience
Responsibilities
- Complete documentation of transports/patient care performed using Vanderbilt and Unit specific compliance policy.
- Safely transport patients utilizing Vanderbilt and Unit specific safety policy and accreditation standards.
- Maintains equipment per regulatory and compliance standards.
- Communicate/collaborates effectively to meet patient and team needs.
