About The Position

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) performs duties of the Emergency Department Technician and other routine duties within the limit of their training and certification in caring for Emergency Department patients. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities may be required. This role offers an opportunity to increase healthcare knowledge by working in a fast-paced Emergency Room.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED required.
• South Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with EKG, Phlebotomy, and Cardiac Monitoring preferred.
• Advance Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) preferred.
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) with American Heart Association (AHA), and NIHSS stroke scale with American Heart Association (AHA) if unit required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of the Emergency Department Technician.
• Performs other routine duties within the limit of their training and certification in caring for Emergency Department patients.
• Provides care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• May have additional responsibilities as required.
