About The Position

Geisinger AEMT's now have NEW starting rates! We are also offering a $5,000 bonus to those who qualify! This role involves examining and evaluating patients to determine necessary care, providing emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment, and delivering basic life support while gathering patient data. The AEMT will document patient information, condition, and treatment, maintain patient confidentiality, and perform all care with respect for patient rights. Responsibilities include transporting patients according to policies, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, and operating and driving the ambulance in compliance with safety policies and laws. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The position requires accountability for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician - State of Pennsylvania
  • Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator - Default Issuing Body
  • Valid Driver's License - Default Issuing Body

Responsibilities

  • Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
