As an electrical engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing complex undersea communication systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design.
  • Background in test, troubleshooting, and reading circuit card schematics.
  • Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand complex electronic schematics for a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA).
  • Proficiency with EDA/schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad).
  • Ability to perform or support circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE, LTspice) to validate functional behavior pre-fabrication.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout considerations to support layout team during fabrication phase.
  • Habitually ahead of technology trends.

Responsibilities

  • Designing complex undersea communication systems as a member of a cross-functional team.
  • Authoring and reviewing formal test procedures for CCA-level functional testing.
  • Troubleshooting hardware anomalies at the board level using signal tracing and diagnostic techniques.
  • Driving innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
  • Conducting research & development including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.
  • Applying AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
