About The Position

The Northwest Dental Residency Program at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic offers an exceptional opportunity to advance clinical skills while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities throughout Washington State. This CODA-accredited Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency combines comprehensive clinical experience, personalized mentorship, and service-focused care in a supportive learning environment. Residents will refine their expertise and gain advanced training across a wide range of disciplines, including Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral medicine and pathology, Pediatric dentistry, Prosthodontics, Oral surgery, Sedation techniques, Restorative dentistry, Digital and 3D dentistry, and Practice management. Residents work alongside experienced faculty while treating diverse patient populations, including medically complex patients, children, and individuals with special healthcare needs. The program is designed to provide an immersive and supportive educational experience, with residents assigned to a primary clinic location and benefiting from one-on-one mentorship, hands-on patient care from day one, exposure to interdisciplinary healthcare teams, structured didactic education and clinical experiences, and opportunities to develop leadership and practice management skills. This individualized approach helps residents build confidence, strengthen clinical decision-making, and prepare for successful careers in a variety of dental practice settings. Requirements

  • Hold or be on track to earn a DDS or DMD degree prior to the start of the program.
  • Be eligible to participate in a U.S.-based residency program.
  • Demonstrate a passion for patient-centered care and serving diverse communities.
