This role involves supporting the build process of development test units, ensuring test readiness through setup and debugging. The engineer will actively report timelines, results, conclusions, and recommendations to Advanced Development or Product Teams. Collaboration with Technical Experts is key to improving test methods, designing features, and refining calibration strategies. This includes understanding related ECU algorithms, calibration processes, and evaluating virtual metrics that support hardware. The position also requires collaboration with design, 1D, and 3D analysis teams to achieve program goals, and the development and execution of first-time capable tests for calibration and hardware development. The engineer will lead the diagnosis and resolution of issues during setup and testing, and utilize/create post-processing tools for data quality assurance and tracking data usefulness for final calibration or reports. Developing, implementing, and updating standard work processes globally, and interacting with various teams (facilities, technical leads, calibration, hardware release engineers) to enhance process and test efficiency are also core responsibilities. The role supports math-based activities, migrating work from Road and Lab to Math based models and data analysis. The work policy is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the need to report to a local office.
