About The Position

Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs, operating five clinics across the state. They are seeking an Advanced Dental Therapist (ADT) for a full-time opportunity at their Rochester clinic. This position serves as an integral part of the clinical team in providing quality, caring, clinical dentistry. The organization is passionate about its mission to provide culturally sensitive oral health care, preventive education, professional training, and advocate for access for all. ADTs are empowered and supported to practice at the top of their scope of practice, which includes a wide range of operative cases, limited exam and recall exams, pediatric procedures including pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers and primary tooth extractions, and extraction of class III mobile permanent teeth. The Rochester clinic offers a beautiful facility with a provider lounge & patio, free parking, professional & skilled support staff, 18 spacious treatment rooms (12 op and 6 hygiene), radiographs, nitrous, panoramic, intra-oral cameras, intraoral scanner for digital impressions, and electronic health records.

Requirements

  • Licensed with the MN Board of Dentistry
  • CPR/AED Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
  • Conduct oral evaluation and assessment of dental disease and the formation of an individualized treatment plan authorized by a collaborating dentist.
  • Provide patient education in proper oral healthcare and various treatment options
  • Provide a patient-centered approach and culturally competent care
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient electronic records
