About The Position

SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Composites Manufacturing Lead for its 1st shift at the Renton location. The Lead role involves a high degree of technical proficiency, serving as an intermediary between supervisors and employees, and acting as a mentor and trainer. The Composite Technician Lead will focus on producing and developing composite materials to enhance quality and efficiency, coordinating with engineers on designs and shop-aids, and operating machinery with a focus on strategy and workflow. Technicians are expected to follow instructions, ensure high-quality work, and possess strong communication and collaboration skills for teamwork. Nice To Haves

  • Previous team leadership experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ Years of demonstrated technical work proficiency in the department assigned to is preferred
  • Basic experience in an ERP/MRP or resource software is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and organize work departments daily
  • Provide direction and schedule production team members' daily activities
  • Frequently monitor and report on work progress of the team
  • Communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management, including other shifts, about needs, priorities, and issues
  • Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and ultimately external customers
  • Identify, investigate, and address problems on the production floor
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating root causes of scrap and RMA issues
  • Work with production and quality teams to prevent recurrence
  • Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures
  • Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback
