Advanced Composites Manufacturing Lead - Weekend Shift
About The Position
SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Composites Manufacturing Lead for their Renton location, specifically for a weekend shift. This role involves leading a team in the production and development of composite materials, focusing on enhancing quality and efficiency. The Lead will coordinate with engineers to improve designs and shop-aids, operate machinery, and develop strategies and workflows. Technicians must follow instructions, ensure high-quality standards, and work collaboratively in a team environment. - High school diploma or GED certificate
Nice To Haves
- Previous team leadership experience strongly preferred
- 2+ Years of demonstrated technical work proficiency in the department assigned to is preferred
- Basic experience in an ERP/MRP or resource software is preferred
Responsibilities
- Schedule and organize work departments daily
- Provide direction and schedule production team members' daily activities
- Frequently monitor and report on work progress of the team
- Communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management, including other shifts, about needs, priorities, and issues
- Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and ultimately external customers
- Identify, investigate, and address problems on the production floor
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating root causes of scrap and RMA issues
- Work with production and quality teams to prevent recurrence
- Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures
- Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment
- Identify and lead continuous improvement activities
- Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback
