About The Position

Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Registered Nurse with Additional Authorized Practice [RN(AAP)] will be responsible for providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of limited common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools (CDT) and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgement; in compliance with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice standards and with Saskatchewan Health Authority policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certificate (CTAS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • Registered Nurse Additional Authorized Practice (RN(AAP))
  • ACLS training required upon hire
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community
  • Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the limited common medical disorders according to CDTs
  • Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice
  • Ability to exercise independent nursing judgement
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work
  • Bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search
