About The Position
The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab at UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST (CVT). The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Lab at UW Medical Center – Montlake is a highly specialized procedural area providing advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular care for adult patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. As a regional referral center and part of a nationally recognized academic medical center, the UW EP Lab performs a broad range of procedures including implanted devices and cardiac ablations. The EP Lab team works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. Our team is one of the most experienced in the country in managing the risk of complex interventions. You will have access to the newest, least invasive therapies, unavailable at any other site in the region, including those not yet offered to the public. Requirements
- Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program AND registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) OR Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program AND Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
Responsibilities
- Scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating complex interventional cardiology cases.
- Effectively communicate with physicians and other staff about changes in the patient’s condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and symptomatology.
- May participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department.
