About The Position
Redfern Advanced Technician reports to the Performing arts Program Manager. This position supports the technical needs for Redfern Events including Rental Clients, the Music Department, and the Theatre and Dance Department. The technician needs to be very independent, and task orientated. They will be given tasks to perform and need to self-manage their time, they also need to adapt to the changing needs of the events. The assistants must be able to make decisions about the space, the equipment needed and if it is safe and feasible to perform a requested action.

Responsibilities
- Complete needed technical setups of the performing spaces per events specifications.
- Set up of supplemental spaces as needed (i.e. extra dressing rooms, storage spaces for equipment, etc.).
- Supervise student crew including training on theatre equipment and its operation.
- Run the technical side of events in the Redfern Arts Center.
- Help Maintain the Redfern theatrical equipment.
