The Process Control Engineer supports unit operations by maintaining and enhancing process control applications and assets. Provides expertise to support the safe, environmentally sound, and efficient operation of the processing units. This role is responsible for control applications in assigned processing units, developing, modifying, and tuning control strategies for continued and improved operation. The engineer will provide basic control assistance and Advanced Control for multi-variable controllers, and develop new control strategies as needed for new projects or products. They will monitor unit operations, assist process engineering to meet production, quality, and energy goals, and provide technical support for PLCs, automation systems, and Safety Instrumented Systems. The role also involves facilitating PSM Management of Change, participating in PHA and IPL studies, incident investigations, and relieving other process control engineers. Additionally, the engineer will facilitate compliance with alarm system management policies, develop graphics, train operators, and work with project engineers on projects and FATs. Ensuring compliance with the integrated management system (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care) is essential. Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and the ability to work extra hours or overtime if needed to meet production objectives. The role requires collaboration with diverse team members and assisting other employees in achieving company goals, following instructions, and participating in EHS initiatives and company training programs.
