Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care AND Family certified) or Physician Assistant to join our team providing medical management of surgical patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a dynamic clinical opportunity for a strong, adaptable provider who is comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in PACU or a similar acute care environment, such as the Emergency Department or ICU. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong, team-oriented, and adaptable PA or APRN who remains calm and effective in a fast-paced postoperative environment. Candidates should be comfortable recognizing and managing post-anesthesia complications, making timely clinical decisions, and determining when patients are appropriate for discharge versus requiring a higher level of care.
