Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Acute or Family certified) for a full time APRN PA Manager position with Trauma Service. This is a fast paced, top of license leadership opportunity. This position is roughly 90% clinical and 10% administrative (approximately 5 hours of admin time a week). This provider will be responsible for managing injured patient of all ages at a Level 2 Trauma Center. Some typical clinical duties will include: Rounding on ICU/RNF, reporting to trauma activations in the ED, advanced procedures (i.e. central and arterial lines, chest tube placement, intubation, wound repair), and OR assisting. Administrative/Leadership responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): scheduling, timekeeping/managing PTO, insuring compliance requirements are met by all APP’s, professional development, attending Coordinator/APP leadership meetings, onboarding and recruitment. The schedule will be between 2-4 days per week with varying hours (12/14/16 hr. shifts) including days, evenings, nights, weekends and call. ACLS/BLS certification is mandatory. ATLS/PALS certification is preferred. The ideal candidate would have a background in trauma, surgery services and/or emergency medicine. Minimum of 3 yeasr clinical experience is required with at least 1 year of previous supervisory experience. New graduates will not be considered for this position. Oversees the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant function at the institution of practice. May assist administration with scheduling, and review of APRN/PA duties and responsible for ensuring appropriate utilization of APRN/PA's throughout the organization. Functions as an APRN/PA in collaboration with a Physician.
