The Nurse Practitioner Team Lead will act in a collaborative and integrative practice with a physician and is responsible for the management of care to patients assigned to include diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of an appropriate plan of care. All activities are performed within the guidelines of protocols agreed upon by the authority of licensure, the medical and nursing divisions, and the medical staff bylaws. Provide leadership and consultation with their respective specialty area through participation in division/department initiatives and mentorship of others. Participate in division/departmental and organization wide initiatives to represent advanced practice nursing, and leverage the role of the advanced practice nurse. The Nurse Practioner Team Lead will work with division leadership and will function in liaison and mentoring roles for advanced practice providers with whom one works while maintaining expertise in their respective clinical service area. A team is defined as a group of advanced practice provider who work together in a given service area. The Team Lead provides clinical leadership and mentoring related to advanced practice and professional development of APRNs or P As for the division. They will serve as a liaison between the division and Advanced Practice Director. The Team Leads will oversee the quality of care and productivity of the team advanced practice providers. Promote education and professional development of the team members by facilitating participation in educational programs. Responsible for oversight of new advanced practice provider onboarding and monitoring orientation periods within their division. Participate as a peer evaluator for team advance practice provider FPPE/OPPE evaluation process.
