About The Position

Temple Faculty Physicians, the academic practice plan of Temple Health, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join the Electrophysiology team within the Cardiology department. This role is part of the Temple Faculty Practice division and will be based primarily at Temple Main, with a possible rotation to Episcopal, Jeanes, and Chestnut Hill campuses. The APP will deliver comprehensive medical care and care coordination in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medical therapeutics, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, assisting in surgical procedures, and counseling patients on preventive care. The APP will contribute to a safe, therapeutic, and inclusive environment, prioritizing patient-centered care and respecting individual differences. All care must be provided ethically, professionally, and in accordance with licensure guidelines and scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (for Nurse Practitioner)
  • Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program (for Nurse Practitioner)
  • Bachelors Degree (for Physician Assistant)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (for Physician Assistant)
  • CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner or NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant
  • RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License or MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic
  • BLS - Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years experience as a nurse practitioner
  • 4 years’ experience as a physician assistant
  • 1 Year experience in a clinical specialty practice
  • 1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience
  • Experience in an EPIC environment
