Requirements
- Licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in the state of New Jersey or eligible for licensure
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with a psychiatric specialization
- Experience in inpatient and consultations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage medication regimens, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as necessary
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and behavioral health teams to provide holistic care
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for patients in an acute psychiatric setting
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and mental health management
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with hospital policies and state regulations
