Requirements

  • Unrestricted licensure in the state of (NY) at time of employment
  • Licensing: Registered Nurse with current unrestricted license to practice and use the title of Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse in NYS
  • Certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues
  • Effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population certified in the Practice while administering quality patient care
  • Maintains accurate medical records and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals and consultations
  • Educates patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications
