About The Position

Under moderate supervision, performs one or more composite part manufacturing functions—including lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and/or repair—in a production environment. The role manufactures composite aircraft parts to specifications as part of a team-oriented work environment. The employee must be able to meet the position’s physical requirements, work any shift, and read, write, speak, and understand English.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Fiberglass or composite lay-up experience.
• One year of related composite or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture composite aircraft parts to manufacturing specifications in a team-oriented work environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to meet the Manufacturing Competencies at the appropriate level in the Employee Effectiveness Review.
• Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations.
• Check all work and ensure a defect-free assembly prior to inspection.
• Maintain and use logs and records, including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, and DR/DI.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area; support FOD and 5S programs and comply with safety regulations.
• Support Lean activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
