Adult & Youth Pickleball Instructor
About The Position
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking an Adult & Youth Pickleball Instructor to join their team. This role involves positively impacting the community through athletics, helping children reach their potential, and enacting age-appropriate goals. The instructor will be responsible for running on-site instruction for adult and youth sports programming, teaching age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum, and providing a safe and clean environment for learning. The position offers a free YMCA membership, flexible work schedule, discounts on childcare and summer camp programs, and opportunities for future planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Excellent knowledge and experience of instructing in the program area - Pickleball!
- Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention
- Mornings, nights, and/or weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Run on-site instruction for adult & youth sports programming including stretch & warmup, activities, & games for respective sport
- Teach age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum for respective sport
- Provide a safe & clean environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs
- Lead classes with positivity & enthusiasm
- Provide excellent service to members and participants
