Position Summary: The Adult Therapist provides high-quality, client-centered mental health services to adult individuals in a clinic-based setting. The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving the emotional well-being and functioning of adults through evidence-based therapeutic practices. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and/or group therapy services.

Requirements

Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling).
Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
Experience providing therapy to adults.
Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices.
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Culturally competent and trauma-informed approach to care.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a clinic-based setting.
Experience with group and/or family therapy.
Familiarity with the Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA).

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision.
Monitor client progress and modify treatment as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Ensure services are delivered in a culturally competent and trauma-informed manner.
