Position Summary: The Adult Therapist provides high-quality, client-centered mental health services to adult individuals in a clinic-based setting. The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving the emotional well-being and functioning of adults through evidence-based therapeutic practices. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and/or group therapy services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling).
  • Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
  • Experience providing therapy to adults.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Culturally competent and trauma-informed approach to care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a clinic-based setting.
  • Experience with group and/or family therapy.
  • Familiarity with the Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Ensure services are delivered in a culturally competent and trauma-informed manner.
  • All other duties as assigned
