About The Position

The Program Supervisor position is an integral part of the City of Greeley’s Recreation Division and is responsible for the on-site supervision and management of recreation services, programs, and events. The Program Supervisor will report to the Recreation Coordinator and/or the Recreation Leader and provide oversight and leadership to hourly staff and volunteers. The Program Supervisor is expected to exercise sound judgment and effectively serve all areas of the program.

Requirements

CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required within 60 days of hire.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple concurrent and competing tasks and responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and stay on task when completing special projects and daily assignments.
Ability to maintain a strong work ethic, positive problem-solving attitude, and enthusiasm for the work performed.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ages.
Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices, including customer needs assessments, meeting quality service standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies.
Customer service skills, including the ability to actively listen, address customer needs, defuse tense situations, and maintain an open, flexible, and friendly demeanor.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) officiating experience.
Three (3) years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Aids in the oversight and delivery of Greeley Recreation programs, services, and special events, supporting and leading other part-time staff including, but not limited to, officials and scorekeepers.
Prepares gym/field for play by setting up any necessary equipment and inspect the site to ensure participant safety.
Works effectively and productively in a fast-paced environment.
Explains and enforces facility and/or program rules, policies, and procedures while positively representing the City.
Provides first-rate customer support to members, guests, participants, and the public, resolving immediate concerns as best as possible with the established guidelines and framework of the facility and/or program.
Acts quickly, calmly, and appropriately in emergency situations.
Attends staff meetings and trainings.
