About The Position

Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to support Guam as part of its Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team. The counselor provides preventive, non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach to military service members, family members, and eligible staff as they navigate military-life adjustments. The role uses solution-focused approaches to address concerns before they become greater challenges and requires availability to start by February 2, 2027. Counselors provide face-to-face support to individuals, couples, and families; engage with service members and families through activities and community events; and offer presentations at military-connected events. They also coach and support installation staff, model behavior-management techniques, assist families with transitions such as a new school or home, and communicate installation trends and issues to Team Leads. Regular in-service training and other contract activities may be assigned. Duties may include responding to emergencies, traveling to locations on and off military installations, and working across indoor and outdoor settings. Approximately 60% of duties are performed indoors and 40% outdoors. Outdoor work may involve long distances, uneven grassy, gravel, or dirt surfaces, stairs, and exposure to weather. Site-specific requirements may apply at military installations and related worksites. The position offers no insurance filing, progress notes, or treatment plans; an iPad for digital reporting without personally identifiable or protected health information; paid federal holidays; unlimited behavioral healthcare training; reimbursement for job-related license renewal fees; eligibility to participate in a 401(k) retirement plan; and centralized support from a Counseling Center of Excellence. The listed pay range is $59,150 to $106,925.
