Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. As an Adult Mental Health Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of mental health services for our clients, working directly with adults in Hampton and Newport News.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Services (such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling)
One (1) year of experience in case management services
A valid Driver's License
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively assist clients with a variety of needs
Excellent organizational abilities to coordinate services and resources efficiently
A compassionate and empathetic approach
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation
Successfully pass a DMV record check
Successfully pass a Child Registry search
Successfully pass a drug screening test
Successfully pass employment reference checks

Responsibilities

Ensure the continuity of mental health services for clients
Provide comprehensive case management services, including assessments, treatment planning, advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention
Assist clients in meeting their basic needs by accessing vital resources and support
