About The Position

The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is seeking an Adult High School Teacher to provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. This role involves implementing strategies to promote student learning based on individual student needs, demonstrating best practices in assessment, attending professional development, and maintaining records in online systems. The position is for 1.00 FTE and will be filled according to the AVRCE's teacher hiring priority process, with external applicants considered last. Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement.

Requirements

Teaching abilities that can be spoken to by professional/supervisory, work-related references
Ability to provide 3 professional/supervisory, work-related references, their email addresses and their phone numbers in the SuccessFactors application

Responsibilities

Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development

Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
