About The Position

Contingent upon the availability of funding, under the direction of the Luna County Adult Drug Court Program Manager, this part-time position involves monitoring adult drug court participants. Responsibilities include tracking participant compliance with court-ordered programs, attending court proceedings, and preparing detailed oral and written reports. The role requires performing scheduled and spontaneous site visits, observing drug tests, and communicating with service providers to assess participant progress. The position also involves tracking sanctions and incentives, documenting interactions in a case management system, maintaining case files, and advocating for participants by helping them access eligible services. Linkage functions include identifying needed services, making referrals, and assisting participants in accessing these services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Two (2) years of experience in social services, probation, as a corrections officer, or work in a related field.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Applicant must be a male.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional post-secondary education in a related field may substitute for experience (Thirty (30) semester hours equals one (1) year of experience).
  • Completion of a post offer background check may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and spontaneous site visits to participant’s home, work or other locations to monitor program compliance.
  • Visually observe the administration of breath or urine drug tests.
  • Communicate with services and supports, and conduct ongoing assessments of the participant’s progress.
  • Track and monitor sanctions and incentives for each participant.
  • Document all interactions with program participants in case management system.
  • Maintain current case files.
  • Prepare precise written reports detailing participant program compliance.
  • Attend court proceedings.
  • Participate and provide input during meetings with court staff and other programs.
  • Help the participant access services for which he or she is eligible through education of service providers, persuasive communication, and negotiation.
  • Identify services and supports needed for the participant to meet his or her goals.
  • Make referrals to appropriate services and supports.
  • Provide the participant with information or assist the participant in accessing needed services.
  • Operate program monitoring equipment.
